Custom Screw Manufacturing: A Complete Guide to Made-to-Spec Fasteners
Standard screws solve standard problems. When your product needs a special head style, thread form, material or coating, you need custom screw manufacturing. This guide walks through the entire process so you know exactly what to expect.
Step 1 - Requirement collection
Send us your drawing, a sample, or simply describe your application - load type, environment, assembly method. Our engineers review the specification and may propose DFM (Design for Manufacturing) improvements that reduce cost without sacrificing performance.
Step 2 - In-house mold making
Custom screws require custom molds. Our in-house tooling shop manufactures heading molds and dies internally, which gives us full control over quality, lead time and cost. No third-party dependencies, no delays.
Step 3 - Sample confirmation
We produce samples for your approval, including dimensional inspection reports. Samples let you verify fit, function and finish before any volume commitment.
Step 4 - Mass production
Once the sample is approved, production runs on our 160+ precision machines with strict in-process inspection at every stage - heading, thread forming, heat treatment and plating.
Step 5 - Inspection and shipping
Every batch passes performance testing, salt spray testing and 100% optical sorting before shipment. Documentation such as material certificates and test reports is provided on request.
